RISE Scholarships (Reaching Independence and Success through Education)

RISE Scholarships

RISE Scholarships were created by THE ONE LESS FOUNDATION to help students, pursuing an undergraduate degree at an accredited institute of higher education, meet their financial needs. The scholarships are funded by donors and supporters.

Four scholarships are given out annually during the RISE Awards (a joint student/parent information dinner event held at the conclusion of the College Bound - Prepare to Succeed program.) Students are not required to attend College Bound in order to be considered for a scholarship.

The application period for scholarships opens May 1, 2017 and closes June 30, 2017. Applications postmarked after June 30, 2017 or received via fax/email after 11:59 p.m. on June 30, 2017 will not be considered. Scholarship winners will be notified on July 10, 2017 and will receive their awards at the RISE Awards or through other arrangements if they are unable to attend the dinner.
